We revisited how to be safe online by watching some videos about our personal information. We watched all about Hector and his friends and discussed some of the mistakes he and his friends had made. We then went away and wrote some posters to remind us about what we had learnt. We remembered the importance of not giving out our personal information and the need to check with our grown ups if we are ever stuck or unsure!

We spent today looking at how to record and show information about our favourite fruits. First we asked our friends about their favourite fruit: grapes, apples, oranges, strawberries and bananas. Next we made a tally chart and then a pictograph to find our the most and least popular. We used our results to then make our own pictographs to show our results! We used a QR code to access an online pictograph as well which we used to create our own electronic pictographs!
1TJ loved grapes! 1AL loved apples! 1LW loved strawberries! We looked at how to use Doodle Buddy to create our own pieces of art. We chose to draw things from our favourite English books. Can you spot our Bog Baby, Lonely Beast and our pictures of Big Ben? We picked some of our art work and used screen mirror to show our pieces of Art to everyone in the class!
In Year One we looked at how to be safe on the internet for Safer Internet Day. We even made our own song to remind us of our internet safety rules. What do you think? Here are two of the video's we watched and discussed. We remembered not to give out information about ourselves and if we are ever unsure of something to check with a grown up!
In Year One we looked at how to use laptops for word processing. We learnt how to use the track pad and keyboard, using word to practice sentence writing simple sentences linked to our English book, The Queen's Hat!
