As part of our eSafety topic, Safer Internet Use, we took part in the national project on February 6th 2019. In Year Six, we learnt how to "Be Internet Legends" using the fantastic resource produced by the internet giant themselves, Google. We looked at the strand learning about which information should/should not be shared online and learnt about the various consequences. We also watched the films produced by CEOP and Newsround, where we saw "Creepy Simon" (dubbed by 6CB) interact with a Y6 child named Becky. Similarly, the children viewed the Newsround "Caught in the Web" episode to further embed our learning. Click the links below to see the two aforementioned films.
This half term, our focus has been learning to code using HTML. We used a program called Trinket and followed the Code Club scheme of work for Level 1 using HTML.
The children really engaged with the tasks and produced some excellent digital posters as a result of their coding.
