This half term, our focus has been about cyber bullying and demonstrating appropriate behaviour online. Through researching what respectful behaviour is, analysing a variety of scenarios and lots of discussion, the children have seen the impact of negative online remarks. In small groups, the children designed, produced and published their own Cyber Bullying podcasts using the Anchor app - you can hear some examples below. In Year Six, we learnt how to add, edit and manipulate data within a spreadsheet. Skills we learnt included using custom sort and filtering, complex functions of sum and average and we were able to use conditional formatting to help interpret the data. Design Our Own: Applying New and Old SkillsOnce we had completed the challenges, the children were then able to design their own spreadsheets, combining skills that they had previously learnt when using Microsoft Office....some examples of the work they produced can be found below.
